Purpose of the role:
To provide design engineering support to all aspects of Thermal Services business on steam turbines and associated systems.
Your main duties will include:

Respond to customers’ queries / problems / issues – to obtain satisfied customers.

Provide support for on-site activities – to ensure that machines are correctly, safely and reliably returned to service.
·
Provide engineering support to the in-works overhaul activities – to ensure that components are refurbished correctly and returned to service safely and reliably.
·
Provide technical input to spares enquiries and orders – to ensure that correct components to the latest design are used, and to avoid quality failures.
·
Maintain engineering records.
·
Support the generation of design improvements that can be adapted to the customers’ advantage.
Qualifications
Knowledge:
·
Good general knowledge of steam turbine theory, design, manufacturing, operation and maintenance issues.
