Our client is a world leading manufacturing organisation and is renowned for its continuous improvement approach and its leading people strategies. The business continues to grow at a fast pace and as a result a position has come up for a Production Engineer to join their manufacturing engineering department in Dunfermline.

Key accountabilities are to

Assist in the development and drive of the implementation of lean methodology within the organisation.
Organise continuous improvements throughout Manufacturing Departments.
Be actively involved in and supportive of HSE initiatives
Ensure compliance with quality procedures
Ensure compliance with HSE procedures
Support cell supervision in the drive to meet all key cell measures
Assist the Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor with the development of all manufacturing areas in support of continuous business growth and expansion
Continuously develop relationships with other manufacturing facility's including site visits.
Support the company global manufacturing initiatives
Continuously develop relationships with key suppliers with the key objectives of lowering cost and improving services and support.
Create and control standard programs with new methods Key attributes are;

HNC in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
Experience working with CAD /CAMsystems
Project management experience
Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team
Good PC skills and experience of Microsoft packages including Word & Excel etc.
Experience in a medium to heavy engineering environment
Be accountable and have ownership of work load to meet schedule dates
Fully participate in 1:2:1's and give 360 degree feedback.
Perform to the organisations HPO goals/vision as individuals and as team members
Good communication skills
