SALARIED GENERAL PRACTITIONER
PRISON HEALTH SERVICE

Applications are welcome for the above permanent post 6 sessions per week.
This post will co-ordinate the GPs providing NHS healthcare to prisoners at HMP Edinburgh and HMP Addiewell West Lothian. This will involve overseeing the service ensuring that both prisons are adequately covered working with the on-site Healthcare Managers and nursing staff organising appropriate governance arrangements for the GP team to NHS Lothian's standards and generally ensuring and raising quality standards.
It is envisaged that 2 sessions per week will be at each prison to aid communications with the teams.
Salary scale dependent on experience is ?53781 - ?81158 per annum.
