A leading international cruise operator is looking to appoint a Head of Safety. Reporting into the Fleet Services Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic leadership and management of the safety department.The role: * Lead and manage the overall performance of the safety department* Set and review objectives/goals and KPI's in keeping with company strategic objectives* ISM Compliance* Career development, succession, training and appraisal of safety department employees* Ensure all legal requirements in onboard safety are metThe candidate: * Degree or equivalent in maritime or HSE related discipline* Experienced at sea in Deck Officer / Engineer Officer capacity* Proven experience with the ISM Code, STCW, SOLAS and Safety Management Systems as it applies to the cruise line industry* Experience in project management/implementation and change management* Strong written communication and interpersonal skills
