Due to continued growth and expansion, we seek a Senior Java Developer / J2EE Developer to join an award winning solutions provider who are highly regarded by industry analysts as one of the best companies in the UK to work for. We require aJava Developer with extensive experience in applications development across Java, J2EE, WebLogic, WebSphere and eCommerce. Further Knowledge of WSDL, SOAP, XML and Web services is required.
The Role
As a Senior Java Developer you will lead a team of Java and J2EE Developers to design, plan and co-ordinate all aspects of product delivery on large scale, complex Java and J2EE programmes with customers in a number of sectors. The Senior Java Developer will have e xpert knowledge of the application domain, technologies and methods appropriate to operational business area, along with the ability to define design principles and patterns using industry standards where appropriate. The Senior Java Developer will have strong leadership skills and experience of workstream leadership roles is essential with the ability to estimate solution delivery at a variety of levels from bid work to detailed solution delivery. Furthermore the successful Senior Java Developer will have in depth experience operating in a client facing environment able to deal effectively with internal and external partners, customers and suppliers. Role based in Stirling , Stirlingshire with no travel involved as the company deliver customer projects in-house.

Experience Required
Essential
- Application development experience on following technologies: Java, J2EE, Java Message Services (JMS) API, Java EE Connector Architecture (JCA) API, Servlets, HTML various frameworks (Spring, Struts, JavaScript etc), XML.XSL, XSD, XML Beans, XQuery or XSLT, Hibernate, Ant/BuildScripts.
- Web development in an e-commerce environment.
Desirable
- Degree education.
- Tools - XML Spy, SQL Developer, Eclipse, Weblogic WorkShop Synergy CM, Toad, SoapUI
- Database - Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL, Stored procedures
- Comms - IBM MQ messaging
- Standards such as WSDL, SOAP, XML and Web services for Java Platform, Enterprise Edition
- Understanding architectural components of Oracle Service Bus
- Experience of object oriented analysis and design, service modelling, capacity planning, defect troubleshooting and performance tuning.
- Secure web development skills/capability
- Good knowledge of appropriate industry standards (e.g. Origo)
