Avenue Scotland are currently requiring an experienced Project Engineer to assist the Project Manager, in both office and site environments, with the delivery of commercial projects, discrete packages of work, managing timescales, stakeholders, budget and resources to ensure projects remain profitable. The key outputs for the role: - Responsible to the Project Manager for the delivery of projects and discrete packages of work, as allocated. Delivery of projects to budget and timescale. - Production of low value proposals and management of small packages of work both on site and in the office environment - Install, operate and report on equipment associated with fluid process and transfer, in line with given procedures - Ability to respond in a timely manner to site technical issues and assist where needed.
- Maintaining and promoting a project culture that meets the objectives of the client and in particular matters including Health and Safety, cost control etc. - To ensure process compliance in relation to governance, Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental legislative requirements to ensure financial targets deliver the needs of the Client's Business Plan. Ensure that Client CDM duties are undertaken. - Contribute to improvement in Project Management processes (best practice) and systems - Be instrumental in the professional & effective management of the process whereby projects are designed, constructed, commissioned & handed over to the Client organisation in compliance with:- agreed commercial criteria milestone dates including contract commencement and completion dates recognised water industry quality standards best practice project management Required: - HND/HNC in Engineering/Science - Demonstrable experience in a relevant field - A full UK driving license The successful candidate will ideally have experience of previous experience of Clean and Wastewater Networks, risk management techniques, knowledge of logging and metering technology as well as site installation and commissioning experience.
CSCS, PASMA, working at heights, manual handling training would also be preferred as well as previous experience of working in the water or process industry in both a technical and commercial basis. The role-holder must be able to demonstrate in depth knowledge of the application of relevant legislation, standards, processes and procedures relevant to the project work as well as previous on site experience of water and waste water pipe arrangements and fittings as well as an understanding of the hydraulics.
