To undertake collection care operations including installation, safe handling and pack artworks for exhibition, loans and storage. To participate in art handling operations across Tate sites and other venues as necessary on an ad hoc and casual basis.

- Previous experience of handling art works in a gallery or museum environment.
- A practical and pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
- A good understanding of best working practices and health and safety requirements.
- Ability to work flexibly on a range of tasks to tight deadlines.
- Ability to work in teams and independently.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and diplomatic skills.
- An interest and commitment to the work of Tate.
Desirable
- Demonstrable technical skills which could transfer to an art handling environment.
- Qualifications and/or practical experience of using hand and power tools and/or carpentry and woodworking equipment at machine shop level.
- Experience of using handling and lifting equipment (eg pallet trucks, pedestrian stackers, lifting straps, etc).
- Practical experience of installing audio-visual equipment.
