We require 3 Desktop Support Analysts to provide a comprehensive 1st and 2nd line technical telephone support service for all IT hardware, complex clinical and administrative software systems to the client based within Ayrshire & Arran. To ensure that the support service is delivered to end users, meeting agreed service levels and ensuring that problems are managed through to resolution. Essential Skills/ Experience required: Requires a knowledge level/experience equating to that of an HND qualification in Computer & Network Support / IT related discipline Extensive Network experience and knowledge of networking protocols and software. Ability to diagnose / resolve networking, software and hardware problems.
Extensive knowledge of Windows 2000, XP, 7, Microsoft Office packages, UNIX. Effective troubleshooting skills and a working knowledge of LAN infrastructure including hubs, routers and servers. Ability to shoulder responsibility; work in a disciplined, conscientious and mature manner. Should posses or be studying towards MCP or MCSE professional qualification.
Driving licence Desirable Skills NHS background and/or knowledge VMWare View Waik Desktop imaging Printer repair Additional Information - There are 3 separate positions available so 3 people are required as below: 1) ONE position will be for field support based at Kilmarnock which will include on site support as well as field support covering north Ayrshire and also ONE week in 6 covering telephone support based in Ayr. Driving licence essential. 2) The second position will be to join the clients Virtual Desktop roll out team. General desktop support experience is essential and experience of VMWare View is desirable.
On the job training will be provided. Driving licence is essential. 3) The Third position will be based in the clients workshop in Ayr. General desktop support experience essential as well as printer repair, WAIK, desktop imaging and hardware repair experience desirable.
