The Role

To manage individual contracts through to end of warranty period, ensuring they are completed on time and meet the customers’ agreed specification and the companies quality expectations.

Main Duties and Responsibilites

Maintain good control over the cost development of your contract and give accurate predictions of over or under spending. Use the Company cost monitor sheet to present this information.
Deal with the customer on all contractual matters, including claim management with support as necessary from Head Office.
Co-ordinate and check all technical interfaces and activities. Ensure design meets contract requirements, with office engineering support as necessary.
Co-ordinate the specification of, and trigger procurement of equipment, products and services together with appropriate departments.
Initiate the creation and issue all documentation to customers with office support.
Co-ordinate and ensure customer training is completed with office support.
Remain the focal point for the customer through to the end of the warranty period.
Produce invoice schedules and ensure that the customer is correctly invoiced throughout the project.
Project Manager to ensure the following Site Management Duties are maintained.
Make sure that site and site huts are kept safe and tidy and that the site reflects the companies image as a top quality, professional company.
Management of all personnel on site including sub-contractors.
Overall co-ordination of delivery of all materials to site.
Acceptance of quality of all sub-contract work.
Ensure that all method statements are reviewed and logged. Issue health and safety policy, issue hazard and risk analysis, compliance with CDM and any other regulations with any necessary Head Office Support.

Characteristics and Requirements

Minimum HNC in mechanical or electrical engineering or similar discipline
Engineering degree desirable
Good knowledge of MS Project, Excel and Word
Project management training desirable
Ability to travel with frequent overnight stays will be required (across Europe including Scandinavia)
Foreign languages would be an advantage – German, Spanish, Italian
Ability to form and manage the project team
Recognise and implement customer requirements
Must be able to work away from home for long periods of time both in the UK and Europe
