Aberdeen based PR Agency looking for experienced Senior Account Executive to join their growing team.
Essential – 3- 5 years experience in a similar position.
The role of the Senior Account Executive is to actively manage the tactical implementation of retainer based and project tasks to ensure client retention and meet clients objectives. The Senior Account Executive plans and effectively ensures the delivery of all client work.
The Senior Account Executive is the daily contact for the client and is responsible, in conjunction with the director, for allocation of manager, executive and assistant resource to meet objectives within the time allocated to each client.
Responsibilities
- Develop of strategic communications programmes for clients (in conjunction with Account Director where appropriate)
- Devise PR programmes for each client which meets their needs and requirements and to allocate and manage internal (and where appropriate external) resource to deliver these plans on time and within budget
- Take responsibility for the implementation of those programmes and the task management involved in successful completion of activities including planning, project management, delivery of activity and reporting to clients
- To arrange regular client meetings to both update on current work and plan future campaigns
- With the account director, monitor the delivery of client PR programmes to meet deadlines and match client expectations. Work with the available internal and external resources to ensure that the programmes are run successfully
- To be aware of fundamental account management problems and to proactively refer to account director
- Providing crisis management services for clients in conjunction with account director
- To be an out of hours point of contact for clients and media via mobile phone
- Draft and manage materials required by clients including press releases, feature articles, opinion pieces, brochure/web copy, newsletters, exhibition requirements, client reports, agendas, case studies, presentations, speeches and any other materials required by or to service the clients needs
- Manage account teams writing and production
- Continue to develop and enhance own writing skills and that of the account team
- Proactively seeking new media opportunities for clients, in particular by making new contacts in a wide range of media and managing these relationships
- Responsible for accurate media lists on media disc for each client and for the regular review of these lists
- To be responsible for the organisation and deliver of event management, exhibitions, press launches and for managing the internal (and where appropriate) external resource etc
- Be responsible for compiling all information for billing for client accounts, including managing all time sheets for each project/retainer.
- Be responsible for managing own and others time to deliver work within agreed retainer or project contract
- Be responsible for clients receiving cuttings timeously and for cuttings to be appended to client status reports on agreed schedule
- Maintain rigorous quality control over own and junior member of staffs work
- Liaise with third party suppliers and agree on budget for bought in services or items, subject to sign off by account director where appropriate
- To operate within allocated budgets
- Maintain an in depth understanding of all client industries
- Participate in internal meetings including creative process meetings
- Attend new client meetings and contribute to the process of securing new business through drafting of proposals and follow up meetings
- Help to keep the office environment clean and tidy
- To undertake administrative duties which relate to the above activities To ensure that through all work, is represented as a professional and creative PR agency with high levels of customer care
