The Client

Our client are Scotland's biggest glossy lifestyle magazine, an established high quality monthly and associated website aimed at the professional, high spending Glasgow and Edinburgh market. This high profile product is distributed through a network of hotels, restaurants, style bars, retailers, health and fitness clubs, etc. They provide their readers with an informed mix of editorial features, interviews, reviews, articles and competitions covering a range of subject areas including food and drink, health and beauty, fashion and retail, travel, entertainment and property. Their customers include a range of high profile international, national and local brand names. They are at an exciting stage of development of and currently require a Media Sales Account manager in Glasgow.

The Role

Based in Glasgow you will be selling their print and recently revamped online opportunities to a range of new and existing customers. Your role will involve telemarketing, cold calling and presenting advertising solutions both over the phone and face to face to key decision makers direct and advertising agencies. This will be a highly creative role where you will be responsible for researching opportunities then developing and creating a range of unique bespoke online and print Advertising, Sponsorship & Promotional initiatives on behalf of clients. The role will involve generating new ideas for new business and developing client relationships into long standing partnerships. You will be responsible for maintaining and understanding your sector, market conditions and competitor products, as well as attending a range of social events where you will network and represent the face of the brand.

The Candidate

To apply you will require a minimum of 12 months advertising / media sales experience from any sector with a proven track record of success. You will have knowledge of and an interest in the Glasgow lifestyle market, with the ability to work closely with customers selling the benefits of a quality lifestyle brand. You will be commercially aware, motivated, enthusiastic and have the tenacity to drive sales forward coupled with a real desire to work in the lifestyle media sector. You will also have the ability to develop long term relationships with a range of existing accounts.

Basic salary to £22K + uncapped bonus (OTE £40K) + benefits
