The role will include the following duties:
- Managing and preparing food in accordance with company standards and assisting with table service
- Menus are preset within the club one week in advance - the successful candidate would have some input into creating and adapting these.
- Ensuring that all food at point of service is of the highest quality
- Overseeing stock rotation and making sure the kitchen is always well stocked
- Being aware of procedures for cleanliness and storage
- Ensuring statutory Health and Safety standards are in place in the kitchen and dining areas
Skills, Knowledge and Behaviour
The successful candidate should preferably have an existing basic food hygiene qualification, although additional training can be carried out in-house.
Experience of food preparation is essential and the candidate will have previously worked within a food preparation/kitchen environment. The ability to maintain high levels of hygiene within the workplace is essential. Good interpersonal skills and communication skills are important, as is the drive to work as part of a busy and successful team.
Additional Information
We are open in the evenings and weekends so flexibility towards hours of work is a must in this role - you will be required to work on a shift basis.
