Our client, a designer, developer and manufacturer of leading edge innovative chassis, structural and suspension products, is currently seeking a Quality Manager to join their site in Llanelli. The successful candidate will be rewarded with a competitive salary that is negotiable depending on skills.
The main purpose of the Quality Manager role is to lead the quality team whilst taking ownership of all quality issues. Within this role your main responsibilities will include ensuring that quality standards are met, developing and maintaining product assurance systems and interfacing between factory quality and customer perceived quality (PPM). You will also be expected to proactively develop a positive attitude towards supplying quality products, drive continuous improvement and maintain effective supplier liaison.
The successful Quality Manager will have worked within a similar role previously and will have experience of press metal / spot weld in the high volume automotive supply industry. You will ideally be a trained apprentice and be educated to degree level and you will have some geometric dimensional knowledge. It is essential that you possess excellent leadership skills enabling you to lead by example and you must be able to delegate effectively. Flexible in your approach, you will be capable of working well under pressure to achieve deadlines and you will be customer focussed with experience of using customer systems and reporting methodology.
