Main Duties & Tasks
E-learning Project Manager
Project Managers run all aspects of a customers’ project and are their day-to-day contact for all project issues.
They organise resources, prepare schedules, monitor timesheets, prepare budget spread-sheets, troubleshoot and talk to clients every day.
They manage all the other members of the project team and may work on several projects at once.
They manage and deliver all client e-learning projects to agreed time, budget and quality measures
Excellent interpersonal, organisational, analytical, problem-solving and presentation skills are essential.
Handling pressure and responding flexibly to changing priorities and timescales are also key attributes for the role.
Communication and Networking
Creating and maintaining excellent communication channels with customers as required.
Maintain excellent lines of communication with other members of the team
Liaise with project partners, when appropriate, for the support of the project
Ensure up-to-date and accurate written records and be able to communicate complex
information orally and in writing
Clear and concise status reports are communicated to both management and project teams.
Create communication channels and network within E-learning industry.
Person Specification Qualifications/Skills/Experience Essential
At least three years Project Management experience in the development of training for online delivery, primarily gained in a commercial organisation within the e-learning sector
An understanding of the project processes involved in the development of online e-learning solutions
Experience in managing internal and external personnel and resources
The ability to develop and maintain excellent client relationships
Effective facilitation and meeting management skills
Experience in content development tools such as Articulate, Lectora, Atlantic Link, Captivate and
others.
Experience of Interactive training design and an understanding of constraints imposed on it by
target PC specification
Understanding of e-learning standards (e.g.
SCORM)
Industry knowledge and awareness
Willing and able to travel
Desirable
Experience of working in an education / military/ government environment
Graphics design for e-learning experience and expertise
Instructional design for e-learning experience and expertise
Experience of LMS and LCMS solutions
Experience of responding to customer tenders and biding processes
Rate: £39k - 41k per year + Excellent Benefits
