Ref - 22313 Senior Java Developer (Integration)

Eden Scott's client, a market leader in their own right and a very successful and growing company based in the centre of Edinburgh, are looking for an experienced Senior Java developer.

This is a key role, where you will take ownership of the design and the technical implementation (estimation, breakdown of tasks) for complex integration business functional specifications through the full software and project lifecycle.Take ownership of existing system integration interfaces and ensure that integration for these interfaces is complete and accurate. Financial experience would be an advantage.

Key skills required:

• Strong Java/XML experience
• Proven expertise in delivering a system/data integration project
• Proficiency in at least one of the J2EE - Application Servers listed below (available in the Technology. Application Platforms segment): BEA Weblogic, IBM Websphere, JBoss / Tomcat with proven experience in JSP/Servlets & web technologies.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as GROOVY
• Strong technical awareness.
• Design and implementation of solutions

Desirable skills:

• Experience in working with SOA/Integration technologies
• Experience in MQ Series or other message queueing technologies
• Experience in using best practices during web services implementations and works with the following standards: o WS-I standards (interoperability), Java API for XML-based RPC (JAX-RPC), JAX WS,REST, SOAP, WSDL, and UDDI. Experience in developing RESTful clients is an added advantage.
• Prior technical leadership experience,
• Management and technical resource for IT.
