We're at the start of a very exciting new journey. As M&S Money, we recently announced our intention to launch M&S Bank, which will see the roll out of over 50 branches within selected M&S stores across theUKby the end of 2013 and the launch of a Current Account later this year. The M&S Money business will rebrand to M&S Bank in the autumn. By joining the in-store team as an M&S Money Sales & Service Assistant now, you are well positioned to be part of this exciting new venture further down the road.
At M&S Bank, we know what customers expect. So that is why we want to go much further and give them an experience that's better than any they'll find anywhere else. You'll be key in making sure all our customers feel welcome and that their needs are met.
What makes us so different? Well, for a start, we've learnt a lot about fairness, integrity and personal service during the last 127 years as one of the UK's favourite retailers. Like every other part of Marks & Spencer, we are built on the values of Quality, Value, Service, Innovation and, above all, Trust. The service we deliver is expert, friendly and truly focused on the customer.
About the role
Our Money Sales & Service Assistants work on the shop floor of a large M&S store, engaging directly with customers. As well as delivering the excellent service standards M&S customers have come to expect from us, we'll be looking to you to spot sales opportunities by approaching customers and identifying which of our quality products and services best suit their needs.
Of course, you will have sales targets to meet. However, with impressive products behind you such as the M&S Money Credit Card and Premium Club, you really will have some great financial products to offer customers in the stores.
We'll expect you to meet, and exceed, your customers' expectations. That's why the ease with which you talk to customers and your keen eye for a sales opportunity is more important to us than a background in financial services. Obviously, the ability to hit challenging individual and group targets is essential. But this will also be combined with a firm commitment to quality and learning how to work to clear financial regulations. Naturally helpful and outgoing, you'll share our belief that nothing is too much trouble for customers and be eager to develop in a company that shares your values too. Above all, you'll need to know how an M&S customer thinks and be able to strike the perfect balance between delivering outstanding service, sparking customers' interest and closing sales.
In return we will offer you the opportunity for personal and knowledge development as well as working with some great people in a truly iconic brand, one that believes in treating people fairly and backs it up with a rewards package that includes pension, life assurance, 20% M&S discount card and a bonus scheme that recognises your contribution. fish4jobs - 9 months ago
