Business Analyst – Interim Position

3 Month Initial Contract

£300 - £400 per day

This role has been established to identify, analyse, appraise and assess business process improvement opportunities and to propose solutions that are suitable for the application of IT across the service area within Adult Social Care.

The ideal candidate will have experience of process mapping and working with various adult social care IT systems.

Key Accountabilities

To propose the use of ICT, where appropriate, to achieve organisational efficiencies and performance improvement in the context of the implementation of revised service business processes and both Corporate and Service specific ICT investment programmes.

To identify and document the business requirements as part of a Service or Corporate led technology project.

To support the AH&CW Change Control Board, assisting the service in the governance and management of business processes.

To deliver all aspects associated with project work - requirements definition, testing, implementation, management of risks and issues, benefits realisation, training needs analysis and lessons learnt.

Working with and advising staff at all levels within ECC regarding the opportunities associated with the process improvement and the introduction of new emergent technology and information systems, nurturing new ideas and systems concepts through to project and/or programme proposals.

Interpret advice, guidance and information from key national and regional Government departments and bodies regarding national policy, strategies and standards.

Work with users and Senior Managers at any location within the County to define their needs for business process improvement and evaluate potential solutions.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Must have experience of. UML, Business Process Modelling, business process documentation, requirements gathering and process analysis.

Must show evidence of continuous professional development. Relevant professional qualification e.g. HNC, HND or Degree or equivalent business experience / expertise.

Demonstrable sound experience in a business analysis role

Able to demonstrate an awareness of relevant IS standards and legislation

Exposure to working with and analysing new and emergent information management and systems technologies.

Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Visio knowledge and experience of using at an intermediate level.
