We are building a team of two Service Desk Engineers (£19-22k) and two Service Desk Analysts (£16-19k) based in Dundee. This is an ideal opportunity to join a growing, company that lives by our values and believes in talent development. We provide cloud based solutions and services to many of the UK’s leading companies. As a member of the service desk team, you are the primary contact for all bright solid online technology customers. It is the responsibility of you and your team to log and respond to customer calls, resolving when possible, and passing to the appropriate 2 nd level engineer in a timely and efficient manner when it is not, whilst ensuring the customer is apprised throughout the lifecycle of the ticket.
Our Service Desk Engineers will spend their time troubleshooting customer issues and providing resolutions with a professional and vibrant style. Our Service Desk Analysts will be responsible for taking calls/ emails from our valued customers, understanding their issues, resolving any 1 st line issues including internal IT as appropriate and allocating more complex tickets to the Service Desk Engineers, learning and developing along the way.
To be successful you should have experience working on an IT helpdesk or be a graduate of a relevant IT based degree. The technical skills required for this role are:
Hardware support skills (Desktop Applications and Operating Systems, servers, peripherals)
Windows operating systems (XP, 7, 2003, 2008)
Networking knowledge (IP Addressing, DNS, DHCP)
Knowledge of MS Office applications especially Exchange (2003, 2007, 2010)
