An exciting new opportunity as a Marketing Assistant has become available within a leading financial services company in Edinburgh. The successful candidate will join the team for 6 months and have excellent marketing experience, ideally within financial services.
Core Responsibilities:
The role holder will support the Senior Manager in delivering marketing communication material in accordance with the brief and to time, cost, brand and quality standards They will tend to focus either on managing marketing communication campaigns or collateral They will either support the Senior Manager in delivering communication projects and/or will manage their own portfolio of communications projects. And within that framework: Marketing activity is planned, scheduled and communicated to appropriate audiences, resulting in complementary and timely delivery Appropriate communication messages, both written and verbal, are implemented and delivered at all levels across the company, through internal mediums, forums and training to raise the profile of marketing activities Recommendations proposed and implemented from customer research to enhance the communications strategy/business plan Allocated project managed, to agreed objectivities, standards, timescales and within budget Appropriate communications material developed for and delivered to target audiences Stock volumes managed and controlled effectively, including forecasting future usage volumes and determining stock destruction or movement to alternative media (eg from print to PDF, litho to digital) Corporate guidelines, processes and business objectives adhered to: ensuring communications material is compliant and follows TCF guidelines and drafting of material follows brand guidelines/best practice processes (as details under “Tools of the Trade” on The Line) The most appropriate medium and method of distribution for communications material for target audiences identified and decided upon.
Core Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent planning and organisational skills are essential
Core Requirements:
Educated to degree level or equivalent professional qualification (e.g. CIM) Ideally has relevant marketing experience working with marketing practices and measures Background in Financial Services is desirable
