We are currently looking for a Test Engineer to join our team to help us improve the quality of Skyscanner products through testing. You will test software throughout the product development cycle (including exploratory regression). Using your prior experience in testing you will write acceptance criteria and execute both manual and automated tests; including planning, preparation, writing, maintenance and documentation. Using our bug database you will report defects, issues and results of tests along with monitoring, updating and closing bug reports.
Working in a collaborative agile environment you will participate in projects from inception to delivery onto our production environment, you will assist in regression and smoke testing when required during our release process. Using your exceptional communication skills you will be able to confidently communicate with your colleagues. You will have fantastic problem solving and analytical skills as well as the self-discipline to be able to work in teams or alone. In this role you’ll gain in-depth experience in areas of technology relevant to testing and to keep up-to-date a willingness and ability to learn new technologies is a must.
With the following you’ll stand out from the crowd
- Experienced with test automation (Selenium, WebAii, N-Unit, or other)
- Experienced in programming (C #, Python, SQL or other)
- Ability to work under pressure for major projects and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of bug reporting tools (eg Bugzilla, Jira, Fogbugz)
- Experience operating in an Agile environment and adapting to the changing needs of a project
- Knowledge of source control systems
- Knowledge of automated build process
- Writing acceptance tests using Gherkin
