Due to expansion, Sancta Maria Hospital (Registered No. 1932882) is recruiting for Bank Hotel Services Assistants.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
To work as part of a team providing a high quality, varied catering service to patients, consultants and staff, working at all times within the guidelines laid down in the Catering Policy.

COOK:PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
1. To keep wastage down to an absolute minimum at all times.

2. Upon delegation, to deputise for the Hotel Services Manager/Catering Supervisor in his/her absence, working within guidelines set out in the Catering Policy.

3. To maintain an efficient system of communication with Top Floor Catering and Nursing personnel with regard to meal orders and all patientsÂ’ catering requirements.

HOTEL SERVICES ASSISTANT:PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
1. To be responsible for keeping waiting rooms & staff dining room clean and tidy, during shift. Kitchen Assistant will undertake this duty between 12 noon and 2pm daily.

2. To ensure all patientsÂ’ meals and beverages are correctly received and presented.

3. To be responsible for ordering of patient meals and to maintain an effective system of communication with the Cooks and Nursing Staff with regard to patientsÂ’ dietary requirements.

4. To be responsible for ordering of all provisions from main kitchen.

GENERAL:
1. To maintain high standards of hygiene and to have a complete understanding and awareness of the statutory food regulations as laid down in the Catering Policy.

2. To report any maintenance requirements immediately to the Hotel Services Manager/Catering Supervisor.

3. To assist with the preparation and service at special functions as and when required.

4. To work as part of a team whose responsibility is providing a high standard of catering service to patients, working within the agreed guidelines laid down in the Catering Policy.

5. To assist in the main kitchen with duties as designated by the Hotel Services Manager/Catering Supervisor/Hospital Director/Cook.

6. To work within the Health & Safety guidelines set out in the Catering Policy.

7. To undertake any other duties as designated by the Hotel Services Manager/ Catering Supervisor/Hospital Director/Matron.
