Our client, founded in 1969 employing over 3600 people across 38 offices in North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific, require a highly experienced, dynamic Database Developer for their Belfast ‘Start-up’.

Based in Belfast and working within the Database Design group, your role will be to implement, maintain and support applications for hosted Database Marketing systems.

Duties will include:
Support applications and perform production data loads.

Work with Business System Analysts on business requirements and functional specifications.

Define, design and implement approaches to perform initial loads and ongoing refreshes of the database systems.

Transform and load data according to the business specifications.

Code and unit test modules.

Execute system and integration tests.

Perform enlacements and bug fixes as required.

Define and execute data validation routines.

Prepare applicable system documentation and operation manuals.

To apply you will need :
4-6 years overall development experience.

2+ years experience with Oracle SQL.

2+ years experience with Unix Shells.

Bachelor’s Degree required.

Experience using SQL, PL/SQL and Shell scripts in a Unix Oracle environment.

Some exposure to data warehouse environments.

The ideal candidate will have participated in at least one successful data warehouse project and have good understanding of ETL tools, possesses knowledge of relational database engines, reporting and analytical tools.
