The Profile:
Working with the relevant HR Business Partner to develop and implement a people capability strategy to ensure the organisation, at all levels, has the right skills, tools and behaviours in place to meet its business agenda. This role is until August 2013.
The Duties:
In collaboration with the relevant HR Business Partner develop a people capability strategy including:
- Standard Role Definitions
- Skills Matrix
- Competency & Behaviour Framework
- Career Development Process to ensure the following:
- Active Career Progression for High Performers / Potential
- Active Career Management for Low Performers / Potential
- Effective succession plans are in place for key technical roles
- Lead the implementation of the People Capability Strategy across the division to a point of sustainability
- In collaboration with the L&D Manager develop a Training Programme (core skills, capabilities & coaching) that effectively equips Product Availability to deliver a Continuous Improvement model
- Ensure that the interventions identified within the Training Strategy are delivered as appropriate in order to deliver a suitable RoI
- Ensure the Resource / Capability Model is always current
- Provide support and coaching to the team on Change Management
- Influence and encourage collaboration, knowledge sharing and best practice across the Supply Chain
The Person:
- Strong experience of building capability and associated L&D models
- Proven track record for developing people programmes in an organisation of scale > 300 employees
- Proven track record of delivering organisational change – coaching, skills, capabilities
- Outstanding communication ability across all levels of the business and between all functions
- Demonstrated ability to motivate and develop high performing teams
- Ability to work proactively with minimal direct guidance
- Ability to grow cross functional relationships and to influence outside of immediate sphere of control
- Effective Project Planning & Project Management Skills
- Educated to Degree Level or MCIPD
- Professional approach and appearance at all times
- Ability to work collaboratively across the business
- Delivery focused mindset whilst demonstrating flexibility to adapt and solve problems
