Client:
My client is a large Media PLC based in Belfast who are actively recruiting a Payroll Manager for the Group Headquarters. This is a very reputable organisation who are well known for retaining staff and opportunities to join the company are extremely rare. Reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller you will manage one payroll assistant.
Responsibilities:
Maintain and update the Sage Payroll system for Northern Ireland and GB payrolls
Oversee and check the input of timesheet details
Verify monthly General Ledger integration figures
Submit BACS payment files
Maintain employee payroll records including Statutory Maternity Pay, Student Loans etc
Maintain employee sickness and associated payment records in line with the Company’s sickness procedures
Maintain Pension Scheme contribution records for UTV defined benefit scheme, stakeholder schemes and personal pension plans to which UTV contributes
Maintain and report on UTV’s Share Incentive Plan
Forward and verify timely payments of Pension Contributions and other deductions
Collate and check all information relating to benefits in kind to be reported on P11ds
Maintain and update the Sage P11d system
Complete all End of Year payroll returns eg P35s, P60s, P11ds etc
Resolve payroll related queries
Supervise and assist in the development of the payroll assistant
Liaise with the Human Resources Department
Reconcile payroll related control accounts
Complete Government statistical reports
Prepare accruals for overtime, subsidiary payroll and holiday pay
Keep abreast of updates and developments in payroll practices and procedures
Assist Managers in budget preparation and provide an effective reporting and advisory service to Managers in budget performance
The Ideal Person:
You will have significant payroll experience taking responsibility for the department and will have previous staff management experience.
Remuneration:
A market leading package will be tailored to attract the strongest candidates in the market. This will be in the region of �30,000
