BIM Business Consultant - Architecture
Profile & Responsibilities
Autodesk Consulting EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa) implements Autodesk BIM (Building Information Modelling) solutions for our customers across the region. We are looking for a BIM Business Consultant in the architecture discipline to form a key part of this strategic team.
As a BIM Business Consultant in architecture you will be essential for guiding our customers and developing/contributing to their BIM implementation strategy (in collaboration with our sales, consulting delivery and business development teams) for our major account customers in the AEC (Architecture, Engineering & Construction) industry.
The position combines your pre-sales and post-sales consultancy skills, your industry experience, your technical and professional know-how, and your passion for educating customers on Autodesk's BIM solutions.
- Lead the implementation of Autodesk's BIM solution on projects, collaborating with Autodesk sales and consulting delivery and business development teams
- Analyse customer business workflows and document findings
- Create, Validate and Execute BIM implementation plans, leveraging your industry experience and best practices
- Manage customer relationships on implementation projects
- Document, share and promote BIM team best practices for redistribution and consistent implementation at a corporate level
- Identify opportunities for new projects to enhance customer effectiveness in their own business
Required skills, experience and personal qualities
- Degree in Architecture and recognized accreditation as an Architect
- Minimum 5 years working experience in Architecture and a BIM context
- Broad understanding, garnered through work as an architect in practice, of the architecture industry throughout the building lifecycle
- Broad understanding of our Autodesk BIM architecture technology (e.g. Revit Architecture, Navisworks, and others), preferably also an expert user
- Experience in applying BIM principles on building projects
- Experience in software product adoption
- Experience in business process improvement principles, and implementing change in complex organisations
- Fluency oral and written in English, additional language skills would be an advantage.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate complex technical details coherently
- Able to travel up to 60% of the time and enjoy working with diverse groups of people with widely variable technical skills
Furthermore, you are goal-oriented, and you like to take on initiative and responsibility. You do not mind working on multiple projects at a time. You are able to act independently while working on a multi-disciplinary and geographically diverse team. You can effectively communicate with this team, even with remote and international team members.
