The Convenience prepared Foods National Coach role exists to manage an expanding group (currently 5) Convenience Prepared Foods Area Coaches and own some operational projects to support the overall running the Bakery department’s coaching team. The role owner acts as a main contact point for Regional Managing Directors, and Regional level HRP’s and the Head of Central Retail Operations and the Category Manager to ensure alignment and consistent communication and delivery of the vision. The job holder will work a 5 over 7 day contract to ensure that they meet the coaching needs of their customer base.
Principal Accountabilities
Coaching Support
Provide timely and appropriate KPI information to RMD’s on the performance of Prepared Foods departments on their zones, alongside actions in place to improve performance
Work closely with the relevant central teams by providing feedback on product launches, merchandising changes and other Prepared Foods initiatives
Provide feedback to retail training on any skill gaps or opportunities for increasing capability through the possible creation or redesign of new training materials
Leadership
Lead a team of Convenience Prepared Foods Area Coaches to deliver the corporate Prepared Foods strategy
Manage the deployment of the Convenience Prepared Foods Area Coaches to ensure best fit with regional needs and the successful delivery of major change initiatives across the zone
Provide inspirational leadership to the Convenience Prepared Foods Area Coaches and engage them fully in corporate messages and initiatives
Business Partnership
Work with RMD’s to establish a regional strategy for delivery of the Prepared Foods vision in line with the wider corporate vision
Communicate corporate Bakery initiatives to RMD’s and Area Managers as appropriate.
Provide information and feedback in support to the Regional HRPs on succession plans and colleague coaching plans across the zones
