We wish to appoint a Mechanical Fitter Supervisor in our Outboard Motor Section, to be an integral part of the Marine and Technology Division at Clyde, driving continual improvement and 'best practice' within our organisation.

Grade

The grade for this job is a Skill Zone 3.

The annual salry for this role will be £24,678.

Responsibilities

Duties will include, but are not limited to, operation, maintenance, defect repair, rebuild and testing of the following:-

Outboard Motors from 5 Horse power to 250 Horse power.

Marine diesel engines.

Marine generators.

Throttle/Gear control systems.

Steering systems.

Computer engine management systems.

12/24 volt guage sytems.

GN500 diesel fire pumps.

Repair and test of submarine/ship diesel injectors.

Qualifications & Requirements

Essential

Has experience in Outboard Motor repair/rebuild and maintenance.

Has served a recognised mechanical engineering apprenticeship.

Has experience in maintenance and repair of diesel engines

Full UK driving licence.

Desirable

Knowledge and working experience of Marine Engines/Drive Units

Experience of leading a team

Working of knowledge of Microsoft Office

Power boat level 2 or RYA approved

Candidates must be able to work in the marine environmant, within confined spaces and close to open water. They must be apable of working on their own and have the ability to work within a team. They must also have the ability to use their own initiative in solving problems and be willing to learn and develop a wide range of additional skills.

Security

Successful candidates will need to satisfy Ministry of Defence security requirements.
