The IT Analysts provides technical support for “desktop” computer hardware and software under the direction of the IT Helpdesk/Support Supervisor. As well as providing Information Technology Support/Help as part of a team to the various Departments for all Weatherford UK locations and Divisions, including second line support for any other existing locations in the Region or added in the future.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Installation and configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of computer desktops, laptops and software, associated printers and peripherals, and network client software such as email and assist both.
Document operating procedures for installation, configuration, use, and maintenance of software and services for use by all Analysts.
Document troubleshooting fixes for all hardware, software, and configuration issues as they pertain to resolving requests for computer support.
Respond and complete Customer call requests on a timely basis. Perform tasks to be determined, consistent with administrative, technical, and physical constraints of the position.
Any other delegated responsibilities as instructed by Line Management within the timeframe specified in a safe and efficient manner to meet business requirements, provided the instruction is reasonable and you are capable and deemed competent to fulfil these.

EXPERIENCE/COMPETENCE
Essential:
Previous experience of working in an I.T. Department supporting over 200+ Users.
Experience of maintaining and supporting networked personal computer related hardware and software components including printers using the following operating systems: DOS, W98, NT, WINDOWS 2000, WINDOWS XP PRO
Preferred:
Previous knowledge and experience of maintaining and supporting personal computer related hardware and software components including printers using the following operating systems: DOS, W98, NT, WINDOWS 2000, WINDOWS XP PRO; experience with TCPIP protocol
Technical PC/Networking skills. Any MCP/MCSE/Microsoft Training or qualification would be preferred.
