Area Sales Manager - Midlands
Healthcare & Hospitality Sector
Salary - with OTE circa £35k

Building on the already successful growth of recent years, this individual will play a pivotal part in the development of our business in this key market sector.
Key Areas of Responsibility
To achieve or exceed agreed sales target for volume and margins sales to the Healthcare, Hospitality, Restaurants and Catering markets
Core Accountabilities:-
- To develop end user sales for the Healthcare & Hospitality Target Markets.
- To manage the accounts of existing customers in these sectors. To pursue future sales opportunities from existing users.
- To develop new business, building new end user customer relationships.
- To optimise channel management for the appropriate markets, working with colleagues in dealer channels.
- To secure a primary supplier listing for cleaning equipment.
- To achieve the sales budget for the region.
- To adopt solution selling skills to secure new business.
- To provide advice/product solutions to the end user.
- To have Kärcher listed as the primary supplier of cleaning equipment.
- To maintain excellent market awareness
- To promote and deliver a continually improving customer experience
- Support and contribute to team based activities aimed at improving overall sales and business performance
- To interact with all customers and colleagues in a manner consistent with the company’s culture and values
Core Activities:-
- Responding to all sales leads and customer issues with the professionalism and speed expected.
- Development and maintenance of customer and prospect and forecast lists for the designated area that secure appropriate numbers of appointments, site surveys, demonstrations and quotations to drive sales performance that meets or exceeds agreed sales targets.
- Prospecting, promotional and other tactical activities as identified and agreed.
- In conjunction with sales administration to prepare good quality proposals and quotations, using innovative customer focused solutions that promote and secure sales.
- Effective delivery and follow-up of all proposals.
- In conjunction with sales administration High quality administration of all sales support activity – order processing, customer information management and reporting.
- To seek genuine, accurate customer and prospect feedback, responding to it and using it to improve business processes and personal performance

- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills along with strong presentation skills.
- Works proactively with all colleagues with understanding and support for their objectives and requirements.
- Full clean driving licence.
