Alstom Power provides on-site support to operators of GT26 single & multi-shaft gas turbine power plants having LTSA's in the UK
.
We have a vacancy for a Plant Support Engineer with a practical I&C or GT mechanical background to proactively support the client in the operation, maintenance and repair of the power train and associated equipment.
The role will involve:
providing technical guidance and support on operational and maintenance issues
assisting the client with improving operation and maintenance procedures
supporting C&I maintenance engineers in maintaining the customer's gas turbine and steam turbine DCS
analysing incident reports and operational data and suggesting appropriate actions
assisting the client with planning and execution of maintenance activities
coordinating the preparation and planning of planned and unplanned inspections
managing stock of spare parts and ensuring spares are available when required
ensuring the client is made aware of all equipment modifications and technical matters
whilst being based at one site, occasional support of other similar sites in the UK will be required, sometimes at short notice.
Qualifications
Candidates should ideally be qualified to degree level in mechanical or electrical engineering; have experience of commissioning, operation or maintenance of a gas turbine or combined cycle power station; possess sound knowledge of power station equipment and operation and maintenance activities; have knowledge of relevant power generation legislation and possess good analytical, problem solving, organisation, planning and communication skills.
