An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Assistant to join a busy finance department in Chester. The purpose of the role is to provide operational and administrative support to the Finance Manager ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of accounts across the organisation. The ideal candidate will have experience of financial and administrative tasks ideally within a finance / accounts environment.
This position will provide the successful Accounts Assistant with a strong foundation of experience in all aspects of company finance whilst offering the opportunity to develop professionally with the potential for study support. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the successful candidate will have the drive and determination to be an integral part of a small team whilst having the confidence in their own abilities to make this position their own.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Processing purchase and sales invoices on Sage 50
Processing BACS/Cheque Payments
Processing and reconciling company credit card statements
The ideal candidate will have excellent IT skills and have experience in using SAGE 50, will also have a good eye for detail and be able to work on his/hers own initiative. AAT part qualified/equivalent desirable but not essential
