Job Title: Skilled Machinist Horizontal, Vertical Borer
Salary: £35k (Fri, Sat, Sun night shift, 36 hrs.) Additional overtime available
Location: Rochdale, Burnley, Halifax, Huddersfield area
My Client is a world leading engineering firm, looking for a skilled machinist to strengthen their team and work on a newly introduced shift, to support the increased volume of work.
Job Description:
To operate CNC & Manual Vertical lathes & horizontal borers machining a variety of components in
Chrome Irons and SG Irons, with Fanuc Controls in a medium to heavy environment.
Operators will be expected to produce product to the specific requirements and to a high quality standard, machining large castings of up to 18 ton.
Key skills and experience:
- Extensive Horizontal and Vertical Boring experience
- CNC Machining experience and editing CNC programmes
- Medium to heavy engineering environment experience
- Fanuc controls experience
- Castings experience
- Must have served a recognised apprenticeship with a technical certificate, and the ability to edit machine programmes
