My client is a specialist robotics and automation engineering company that provides customers with novel solutions to manufacturing problems in the automotive, industrial and pharmaceutical industries. The company is now experiencing phenomenal growth and immediately requires high calibre Machine Design Engineers who are suitably qualified and is experienced in designing engineering solutions to manufacturing automation problems. EBS has a unique reputation for designing and building complete process solutions to the highest standards of quality that provide customers with improved efficiency, reduced cost and zero defects.
You will provide input into concepts and that encompasses the customer’s manufacturing requirements and be responsible for the mechanical design realisation of the project. The role necessarily requires liaising with customers and the Application Engineering, Manufacturing, Automation and Electrical Design teams.

Skills required:
Design of machines,
Automated solutions and production processes from scratch
Produce engineering drawings, CAD models and technical files
Project planning and project management
Presentation of designs to customers
Organise and liaise with sub-contractors
Knowledge of current British Standards
Preparing BOM
Research new designs, operations and performance of equipment and systems
Create new ideas to incorporate into designs to make them cheaper and more effective and attractive to the customers
Systematic problem solving
