Candidate:
With an emphasis on Software Development, Design and Testing, this job would ideally suit a candidate looking to further their existing experience, or gain experience, in the area of Software Development.

Job Role:
This position reports to technical lead and will work closely within existing teams in the UK.
The incumbent will be responsible for developing application software both as part of a team and
individually.The incumbent will also be responsible for assisting in software analysis, design and testing.

Responsibilities:

• Developing software according to specifications
• Enhancing, correcting and maintaining existing software
• Contributing to systems architectural design, analysis, development and improvement.
• Porting software to different platforms / operating environments
• Research and Identify possible solutions to new product developments, or product

enhancements.

• Planning, developing, testing and documenting computer programs.

Essential Skills:

• Understanding of C++.
• Understanding of Object-Oriented Design concepts, including design patterns.
• Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing

priorities.

• Ability to work unsupervised.
• Problem solving and problem reduction skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly.
• Ability to correspond both in writing ideas and orally.
• Ability to analyse issues and situations systematically.
• Ability to be flexible and work hard, both independently and in a team environment, in

a high pressure on-call environment with changing priorities.

Desirable Skills:

• Technical experience with relational database systems and SQL.
• Experience with TCP/IP socket programming.
• Experience with Unix development
• Experience with Object Oriented modelling using UML.
• Experience with UML modelling tools.
