Due to our continued growth we are seeking a talented Applications Engineer to join our Simulation Technology department. You will have a proven ability to lead and assist technical activities at the forefront of engineering. This will require a strong set of engineering skills from academia and industry as well as excellent communication skills. You should of course have strong problem solving skills and an ability to explain complex technical problems to back this up.

As part of a multi-disciplinary team you will work with mechanical engineers and our software experts to lead Romax technical activities globally for our world leading gearbox analysis software for driveline engineering. Your key challenge will include but will not be limited to providing global technical sales support, with special focus in the European market, in order to grow our customer base. You will have exposure to fields like FE, NVH or DFMA through taking part in activities ranging from providing software support or performing in-depth engineering analysis and consultancy through to taking a pivotal role in on-site sales meetings or customer training.

The role will be varied and dynamic and will provide the successful candidate with high exposure to the world’s major automotive and wind companies and a wide range of driveline analysis technologies and processes.

You will have at least 2 to 3 years experience in related industry in a role with demand for strong technical skills (ideally with significant customer exposure). Experience on CAE/CAD (Catia, Pro/ENGINEER, Solidworks or similar) is mandatory and experience on FEA (ANSYS, NASTRAN or similar) and Matlab would be a distinctive advantage. You will be degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline with an excellent academic record. Ability to speak other language would be an advantage.
