Exploration Field Technician - Guyana - South America Leading precious metals mining company with Assets in south America requires an exploration field technician on a long term contract basis. Main duties: (a) Plan, implement and manage, with the Exploration Managers approval field programmes on the Companys projects; (b) Working together with the senior Geologists, manage logistical and technical activities in the field to support the drilling and geology programs (c) Provide the Senior Geologist with information, analysis and advice on project activities affecting the business; (d) Compile and execute geological and field business plans and budgets; (e) Manage allocated field and related geological staff; and (f) Manage contractors and suppliers engaged in exploration activities on the Companys projects. Person specification · Higher level qualification in relevant subject · Strong People management skills · Significant Experience of Geological sampling within a mining environment · Bush/ Jungle Logistics experience · Significant experience of Camp Management · Survey and use of DGPS tools · Machinery management for access track building Package up to $150,000 + flights + benefits
