Working within the Network Services team to maintain the high availability and integrity of the William Hill network infrastructure. The Network Security Team Leader must be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of the importance of the William Hill network infrastructure, the extent to which it influences the success of the business and William Hill¡¦s reliance on its successful operation.
Specific responsibilities
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
The general requirements for carrying out the role of a Network Security Analyst are detailed below. This list should not be taken as prescriptive and any elements of this role may be changed at the Department¡¦s discretion.
Operational Delivery
- Incident management and fault resolution for Corporate and Revenue generating Local and
Wide Area networks.
- Configuration and implementation of new network equipment.
- Configuration and upgrade of existing network equipment.
- Network trend analysis and capacity planning.
- Provide expert support for the Field Services Helpdesk, 3rd party Engineers, and other internal departments.
- Adhere to all William Hill policies and guidance as defined by the Compliance Officer and Legal Department (e.g. including legislative or regulatory requirements such as data protection and software copyright law).
- Assist and carry out regular security audits of systems to ensure continued system integrity.
For new services, projects or alterations to the infrastructure design:-
- Through formal approval mechanisms, propose and where appropriate, action changes and improvements to the infrastructure.
- Take lead role in project work impacting infrastructure, including planning, managing issues and risks and implementation.
- Working with IS Operations and the Architecture team to assist in the design of appropriate network architectures.
Essential skills/attributes
- CCNP/CCSP certifications
- Sound knowledge of IT
- Demonstrable investigative and analysis capability.

- Strong communication (verbal/written) and influencing skills.

- Previous experience of leading a technical team
Desirable skills/attributes
- Knowledge of technical security architectural principles.
- Technical security certifications ¡V CCSA, CCSE
- Cisco Call Manager (VOIP)
- ITIL certification or experience of working within an ITIL oriented organisation.
- Experience of providing network/security consultancy on projects.
