One of the world's largest and best regarded engineering companies is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join it's Power Systems division in Warrington
They undertake a broad range of HV electrical work for clients in the utility and renewable energy sectors in addition to work for DNOs and the National Grid.
Role Outline
A Project Manager is required to assist with major new installation work across the UK. Project values are often up to £300m in total. The Project Manager will specifically be concerned with getting large transformers to market from factories overseas.
Voltage ranges are typically 132kV-400kV and it is important that the post holder has demonstrable experience with transformers at this voltage range.
Main Accountabilities
Project Manage schemes to Safety, Budget, Quality and Time.
Provide accurate and timely progress reports: programme, financial and post completion.
Provide forecasts for completion & resource planning ensuring support for interviews & appraisals
To approve documentation in accordance with the contractual requirements of the project.
To provide technical input to ensure designs are checked for technical compliance.
To provide technical support during tendering and scope clarification.
Attend factory visits with the client to ensure the successful completion of Factory Acceptance s Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Experience
HNC or better in a relevant electrical or engineering discipline.
A good knowledge of CDM safety regulations and procedures (desirable)
A Distribution Network Operator background is highly desirable
Project management of High Voltage (33kV-132kV) schemes
Able to meet and manage client expectations whilst building rapport with colleagues and sub-contractors.
Able to demonstrate the ability to manage and prioritise multiple, concurrent projects covering several locations. Remuneration Guideline:
