Corvus Recruitment are delighted to partner with a leading multiple store retail company in sourcing a Buyer for a Maternity Contract.
Having total responsibility for the buying function within a specialist department, the successful candidate will be expected to deal directly with all suppliers in terms of pricing, delivery and supply. You will be responsible for setting retail prices and managing all promotional and advertising budgets for products. You will take charge of providing staff at ground level with the relevant information on specific products and promotions and ensuring that on the ground sales deliver results.
With at least 2 years buying experience in a multiple retail store environment, the successful candidate will be experienced in negotiation, management of product ranges and promotion and have the ability to work to tight schedules. It is also required that applicants have previous experience working from a live stock system.
