Sand Resources has an excellent opportunity to join a sizeable organisation and provide hands-on support for a proactive support team.

Experience of .NET web based document exchange system, and a good track record in development in ASP.NET is needed to lead the technical support team, overseeing the day to day work of a small .NET support team. The team leader will be expected to provide a proactive approach in identifying opportunities to maximise benefits from applications or other environment software, and be responsible, along with their team, for Data security and integrity.

Role:

• Lead the technical support team
• Ensure SLA targets are met for incident and problem management
• Be responsible for problem management
• Make sure support coverage is adequate
• Assist team members in resolving impediments
• Provide direct hands-on application support
• Main point of contact
• Provide regular reporting on support activity
• Act as escalation point
• Liaise with other technical and functional support teams, Project Managers, Production Services and the Architecture team

Essential Technical Skills:

• A good track record in development of ASP.Net
• Strong and demonstrable SQL skills, including stored procedures and query optimisation
• Use of Team Foundation Server or similar products for the management of change control
• Web Services experience
• XML and XSD schema design and use
• IIS

Desirable Technical Skills:

• Experience of creating Windows Services
• Experience of large system development and support
• Knowledge of web and accessibility standards desirable

• Hands-on experience of being a member of a support team
• Understanding of service support process especially incident management and ITIL principles
• Ability to performance manage people
• Ability and knowledge to mentor Support Analysts
