We are offering an exciting opportunity to join us in the Academic Services Division of the Registrar’s Department. The successful candidate will learn about governance issues and taking responsibility for case-work covering Academic and Information Governance themes such as student escalated complaints, Subject Access and Freedom of Information requests. The role holder will also work as part of a team in support of Graduation and University-level Committees. The role reflects the Department’s wish to offer opportunities to highly motivated and talented individuals to develop a generalist management role in Higher Education administration.
You will need to demonstrate a range of transferable skills and be good at multi-tasking. We will provide you with specific training and a chance to gain a deeper understanding of academic governance processes. Candidates should understand the importance of applying procedure and advising across a diverse caseload. In addition, they should demonstrate a positive, flexible approach requiring creative thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
Candidates should possess a 2:1 degree or equivalent qualification and be able to demonstrate the relevance of their work experience.
This permanent post is full-time for 36.25 hours a week. Due to staffing considerations it is anticipated that the successful candidate will normally work in the office 9 – 5.15 pm (with a one hour lunch break). Applications for job share will be considered.
