An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Claims Service Advisor within our Commercial Insurance division based in Glasgow.
As a Claims Service Advisor, you will work with the Claims Management Executive and Claims Support Manager to identify Claims and appropriate Claims resource whilst ensuring cost effective delivery of solutions and a quality, proactive service to clients. The successful candidate must have experience in dealing with EL and PL claims.
As a Claims Service Advisor your key responsibilities will include:
Working with the Claims Service Manager to ensure that claims operations meet the statutory and regulatory requirements
To ensure work is handled in a proactive manner with quality production whilst ensuring settlements are obtained in the best interests of the client within agreed service levels
Claims administration, resolving specific claims issues and report production
Maintain and Develop effective relationships with clients
Deal with insurers/claims service providers to solve issues
Keep all parties advised of progress/next steps
Maintain accurate records on claims system and files
Be a referral point for problematic, technical claims, large losses or where there are indemnity issues.
Assess most appropriate personnel to resolve issues, taking into account possible revenue opportunities, and refer and advise as appropriate and monitor claims progression
Liaise with and where required attend meetings with Aon Broking personnel and external meetings with Clients, Insurers, Loss Adjusters and Solicitors
To ensure "Best Practice" is adopted and adhered to at all times
To contribute to the overall effectiveness of the team, productivity targets and service Level agreements through effective planning and organising or workload
As a Claims Service Advisor
your skills and qualifications will include:
EL and PL experience
Excellent investigation skills and ability to analyse information
Excellent customer service skills
Proficient communicator at all levels, both verbal and written.
Good planning and organisational skills with the ability to handle varied tasks/instructions.
Efficient caseload management through smart diarising and proactive handling to reduce life cycle of claims.
Ability to be flexible when required, responding to change and learning opportunities
Good internal knowledge of systems, processes and Best Practice Guides
