Autocad Inventor Design

Purpose of Job:
To support the new product development process from research and development through to product launches; specifically providing efficient solutions to the development of processes and products, ranging from small component designs to complex turnkey solutions.

Educational Level:
A strong technical background in engineering qualified to degree level in either; Mechanical Engineering, Engineering science, Manufacturing engineering or equivalent.

Experience:
The candidate will have a minimum 5 years? experience in a product development environment.

Applicants would ideally have experience in the following areas; AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor.

The successful candidate will need to show evidence of the following;

• A high level of technical knowledge with the ability to apply this knowledge to practical problems.
• IT skills, particularly computer-aided design (Autodesk Inventor)
• Creative ability
• The ability to work under pressure;
• Ability to read and evaluate both mechanical and electrical drawings
• The ability to work well within a team
• Organisational skills, such as time and resource planning
• Precise and concise written communication skills

The candidate should be self-motivated, highly organised, methodical and a proven problem solver.

The candidate will require good oral communication skills and confidence in dealing with a wide range of people both internal and external.

In addition the successful candidate should be able to demonstrate continued professional development.
