My client based near Weybridge, Surrey are the Galley / Stowage unit Design and Manufacturing division of a larger company which has been trading for over a hundred years now.

For the past forty years, the company has grown into a sophisticated company producing Galley systems and other interior components for the most modern Civil Aircraft yet conceived.

With innovative ideas and design solutions and the growing contribution to efficiency and accuracy from the latest Computer Aided Design and manufacturing facilities.

My client's Engineers are well practiced both at meeting the operational requirements of airlines and conforming to the interface provided by an Aircraft manufacturer.

They design, manufacture and support galley and interior monuments direct to many of the worlds aircraft manufactures and to worldwide airlines and leasing companies.

Role

They are looking for an experienced Stress Engineer with Aircraft Interiors Experience, ideally with 5+ years experience in aircraft interiors, preferably galleys – but will consider Stress Engineers with less years experience.

You need to have ability to hand calculations as well as experience of FE analysis and be able to use Nastran and Patran.

Be experienced with working on Boeing aircraft is essential, as well as analysis and structural testing.

Be capable of controlling several programmes and assisting with the running of the stress department.

Duration Initially a 3 / 6 month contract, possibly ‘temp to perm’ for the right person

Pay Rate Dependant upon experience - £19.91 to £33.19 an hour through an umbrella company ( Paramount Solutions Limited ) while contracting = £30,000 - £50,000 per annum should the role go permanent

Hours Standard hours are 37.5 a week

Times 8.00am - 4.30pm with a 30 minute lunch break and till 1.30pm on Fridays.

Overtime Available approximately 2 hours a day, paid at flat hourly rate
