An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a world leading global organisation, our client Unilever are currently looking for an experienced Engineer Technician based at Unilever's manufacturing site based in Swansea. This is a full time, temp role for initially 3 months after which the role will be reviewed paying £29 000pa depending on experience. This role offers the opportunity to also earn an average of £4 795 p/a in overtime. Initially the role will be carried out on a day shift but will move to double days shift pattern once fully trained. The double day shift pattern pays a 10% shift allowance.
Main Purpose of Job:
Capable of understanding, developing and carrying out improvements on current equipment.
To effectively carry out, and contribute positively to, a preventative, planned maintenance system.
To evaluate problems/faults/non conformances and to effect the necessary repairs, both in the short and long term.
To optimise equipment/services/machinery to the applicable performance standard.
To work in a manner that embraces right first time.
To be able to work along side other departments, aware of their requirements/standards, and to work towards a common business objective.
To absorb and be aware of developments in technology.
To undertake activities based (not only on their core skill but) in other skills areas to the fullest extent of their capacity.

To efficiently, conscientiously and effectively use materials during their daily work, including stock control, choice, value and purpose.
Effectively carry out all duties, working to legal, Company, personal and recommended safety standards.

Ensure all maintenance tasks are logged and recorded.

Qualifications / Training Requirements:
2.ONC or equivalent
