A Global Automotive Tier 1 supplier is seeking to recruit a Program Manager with an automotive manufacturing background for a 3 year contract based at their HO in the West Midlands. Having recently been awarded the overhead systems program (L550) for JLR they now require a Programme Manager ideally with Interiors experience.
Based in the Business Unit in Meriden, Coventry and supporting JIT operations in Halewood, Liverpool, you will report to the Program Director within the Interiors business responsible for launching the overhead systems program for JLR. The Program Manager will have responsibility to define and implement program plans, budgets and schedules ensuring coordinated planning and realisation of the Business Unit product development, tooling and start up programs.
The successful candidate will be of graduate calibre with a strong background in the automotive manufacturing environment preferably within the Tier 1 supply base, JIT or OEM with demonstrable experience of delivering a successful launch. With well-honed skills in launch, program, project, engineering, commercial, customer and supplier relationship management, you will also have good knowledge of costing / estimating and quoting processes.
A self starter with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you will be persuasive, an influencer able to deliver on time, be positive and constructive whilst interacting with others.
