Salary: £27,578 - £29,249 (with potential progression to £35,938)

You will work under the supervision of Dr David Fulton (Chemistry), Dr Matthew German (Dental Sciences) and Professor Kenneth Dalgarno (Mechanical and Systems Engineering), on a project aimed at developing new polymer-based materials for use in medical implants. You will join a team working on projects which include industrial and academic institutions throughout Europe. Expertise in synthetic polymer chemistry is highly desirable, although outstanding candidates with experience in synthetic organic chemistry will be considered. A working knowledge of materials science would also be advantageous. You will also be expected to have submitted a PhD thesis before appointment.
