Graduate Software Developer

This is an excellent opportunity for a Computing Graduate to begin their career in Software Development.

Reporting to the Senior Software Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will be part of a large Software Development team responsible for the design and development of software solutions, leveraging the latest available Java/.NET technologies to support Seagate's mission critical Wafer Fabrication facility in Springtown.

As a Graduate Software Developer, you will apply your software development knowledge to work in collaboration with Business Analysts, Testers and other project team members, on the analysis and design through to the development and delivery of software applications.

You will need to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a progressive attitude, and a solid customer focus. You will have excellent analytical and research skills, project skills and a passion for IT. Ideally you will have some software development experience and be familiar with the development tools that enable a continuous integration/build environment. In return, you can look forward to rapidly growing and enhancing your skills portfolio, along with all the support, training and guidance you need to realize your full potential.

As your career develops, you'll find yourself working on leading edge web based UI technologies, time-critical manufacturing machine integration activities, and managing the release of mission critical software solutions and/or designing the next generation control and analytics software systems.

You will have strong academic results (minimum 2:2 Honours in a Computing related discipline) and have graduated in the last 12 months or are due to graduate in 2012.
