Analytical Electrochemist (circa £30,000 plus 13% benefits package)

You will be required to provide hands on electrochemistry support, working in a lab as part of a team of scientists and engineers developing novel biosensor technology and contributing to the delivery of novel cardiac & diabetes diagnostic test. You need to take ideas through from invention into feasibility and product development into prodction in a highly regulated environment.

You should have a good knowledge and understanding of analytical electrochemical techniques and their application in analytical measurements particularly in the field of biotechnology. We are looking for the job holder to have a science based degree and PhD in a subject involving significatnt analytical electrochemistry or having at least 4 years in industry or academia working on electrochemistry is essential.

Your electrochemistry experience should include but not limited to; potentiometry, amperometry, voltammetry and coulometry. A working knowledge of electrochemical instrumentation is ueseful, as is mathematical analysis of electrochemical results.

It is important that you are self-motivated, solution focussed and committed to exceeding expectations. You will be working in a fast pace environment that encourages innovative thinking, self-management and total role accountability. You will have a good level of numeracy, literacy and also must be able to demonstrate good computer literacy.
