We have contract work for a geotechnical engineer in the Yorkshire area.
The role would involve supervision of site investigations using both drilling rigs (Boreholes) and excavators (Trial pits)on sites to obtain geo-environmental information on the ground conditions. We would require the engineer to:
- Log soil & rock profiles to BS 5930 (Eurocode 7)
- Collect appropriate samples
- Install boreholes
- Undertake environmental samples of air, soil and groundwater.
The person would need to have at least 2 years previous experience in this area and is likely to have a BSc in geotechnical engineering or something similar.
